horn

Featured Replies

Hi,

My horn has suddenly gone a lot quieter, if I knew where it was positioned, I could check earth etc.

Regards

try either between the rad and grill or down behind the front  bumper area that's where most seem to be

good luck

I'm sure the advice Ron as given would be correct, every vehicle that I have owned have the horns placed usually behind the front grill.

Hi Brian,

The s type twin horns are immediately behind the radiator grill, and very accessible.

I would suggest that you first disconnect the plug, clean the connectors and plug it back in.

If it is still quiet a new pair of horns are easy to fit and do not need to be sourced from a main dealer ---  car breakers have buckets full of them.

Regards,

Peter.

Does anybody find that their car horn on the S Type, in general, is a pretty feeble excuse for a warning instrument?

Mine certainly seems to be somewhat reluctant to perform its function at an adequate volume.
