Does anyone know if getting your XF serviced outside of the Main Dealer network affects your extended warranty?

The fixed price servicing seems overpriced and when you add in the last time it was serviced by a main dealer they told me I needed new pads and discs all-round at a cost of (£600+). I declined and got it checked at a brake specialist who stated there was no need and here I am 16K miles later still no brake issues or warning lights etc.

Is it worth going to an independent type of garage for the servicing?

Cheers

i think you will find you can get it serviced at any garage as long as they  use jaguar approved parts and the service book is stamped correctly & signed this shoud be fine but a jaguar dealership  will tell you something else as they want the work and charge you a much higher rate but why dont you go to a indy jaguar  garage all the skill of a main dealer but the prices are far cheaper.

Hi Steve,

Ron is quite right.  Just make sure the service pack is all genuine Jaguar.

Peter.

How do you go about getting the book stamped when there isn't a book, the service history is all on-line and only accessible by the dealers?
