First time warning - brake pads low.

Do these need to be replaced immediately?

Is this just a pad swap or do I need sensors as well?

All feedback welcome

Hi Jim

i should think you only need to replace the pads - but one of our xf members will get back to soon i hope.

Hi Jim,

Disc pads warning I treat exactly the same as low fuel warning.  If you get a low fuel warning your engine can stop, and if your brakes stop working, your car may not stop.

Add that, worn pads can damage discs which are most costly than pads.

I would check them out.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi all,

Took my Jag to get Air con regassed today at local Halford Autocentre.

Asked for rough quote on pads change.

Was told my model has two disc sizes think it was 270mm and 310mm.

Don't think I need the discs replaced but if I place an order on line, what pads do I purchase?

Are the pads same size for both discs?
