Hi all,

New to the forum so go easy lol

I have recently bought an S Type.. when I bought it I was informed that the Washer Pump for the front windscreen is not working. Apparently, all wiring and fuses have been checked. Pushing the stalk for washer doesnt make a sound from the pump at all. Easy fix ?

Thanks in advance

As yet, Im yet to look at the problem... Cant see it being a blockage as I hear no noise at all coming from the Pump ?

Bumper off job as far as I can recall Christopher. Changing it over is simple though.

Suggest a replacement from the likes of Fleabay though rather than OEM.

The old pump is simple to test once you get to it. Just pull the wiring connector off and apply 12 volts direct from the battery. No noise = replace pump. If the pump runs then you have a wiring fault.
