Fuse location

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Jag due MOT on the 27th and I need to sort out the washer bottle pump or it'll fail!

Im looking on autodata at fuse locations.... theres a "facia" fuse box. - Anyone know where this is ?

I need to check the fuses for the washer bottle pump.

Thanks in advance

Chris,

I'm not at home at the moment so can't check the precise fuse you require.

However, there are three fuse boxes on the S-Type. One is under the bonnet and perfectly obvious. Another is under the boot floor and again obvious. The third is under a small panel on the right hand side of the driver's footwell. This may well be the "fascia fusebox" mentioned.

You need to get your head and shoulders into the footwell to get a proper look at the fusebox. A torch is a must as well.

Hi Chris,

As I no longer have to go out to work, I have just checked my handbook, and the fuse you want is, as Paul has said, in the passenger footwell and is numbered F12.

All you need now is to find that torch you keep somewhere!

Regards,

Peter.

Drivers footwell or passengers lol...

Have had a quick skegg and cant see anything under either but havent got my torch to hand...

Thanks for the help, will be having a greater look tonight. I cant see it being a dead pump... They dont just die surely!

Hopefully its a fuse!

Thanks for the fuse number..

Chris,

Definitely Driver's side, assuming a UK spec car <_<

Very likely to be a dead pump in my experience. I had one failed when I bought The Princess and the replacement has also failed.

Fitted a pattern part now and all seems OK. The high pressure pumps for the headlamp wash are also prone to seize as well.

Thanks, Ill more than likely get the pump replaced... just need to get it sorted to get it through its MOT. After that I can change the part for a better part as you suggested. I havent got the Headlamp washers.

Thanks
