Hi all,

I have a silver 2.1v6 SE saloon and wanted to add a 'leaping jag' badge (not bonnet mascot) somewhere on the car. Has anybody else done this? Is there room over the rear number plate or to the right of the plate? Or what about on the front wing just above or below the indicator repeater? Or should I leave well alone? I just thought it would be nice to have a classic jag badge on the car.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Ian,

I have done this on my s type, using a small version of the Leaping Jaguar.

They come in a pair and could be used on either side of the bonnet by the repeater, but I preferred just the one on the boot lid.

Embellishing a car is personal choice.

Peter.

Interesting, I would instinctively have the cat leaping to the right.

Mind you  I'm left handed.

Looks nice though. Where did you get it?

Hi,

Thanks Peter, looks nice. I believe the factory fitted 'leapers' all leap to the left. I think I'll buy a pair and try them in various places before taking off the backing,

Cheers

Just googled and found it on eBay quite cheap.

Nice idea, Jim.

A lot of people think that engine bays don'y need cleaning,  but I feel that a dirty engine bay is an indication of disrespect for the car!

A bit daft, I know, but a car is not clean if some of it isn't.. I would polish the underside if I was young enough to get underneath!

Jim has beaten me to it, and totally agree with Peter, I also do faff a lot with the little lady, I try to keep her looking tidy, here is my attempt of painting the lettering on the heat shield (definitely think Jaguar missed a trick here) unfortunately I have very unsteady hands so had to stop at the primer stage, did not want to mess this job up at all, it's ready for the Ferrari red (apologies for using the 'F' word on a

Nice choice of Jaguar Sir. Not that i am biased or anything...

I was looking at those leapers and fancied one for mine but i was going to put it on the panel opposite side to the X Type badge. However, this area is not flat.

I may order them and practice bending the spare one to shape first. If this works i shall fit the other on said panel.

Not sure about the Mazda above but nice eye candy
