Xk8 headlights

Hey up my friends,just swapping headlights over as one is cracked and the other one lets in water but I think I have bought the wrong ones,the actual light is ok but the rear is different,the ones on the car are black interior but the ones I bought are chrome does that mean they are hids and the ones I bought are halogen also the plugs on the back are different,so can I still split the wiring from the plug and attach individualy to each pin on the new lights,if so any ideas what goes where or try and get some other lights,thanks
