Hi new 03 Jaguar S Type 4.2 V8 owner here, owned two X Types and an XJ before but my latest purchase is the best for me as I missed this particular vehicle two years ago after test driving it, yesterday I happened along to my friends car lot and it was sitting there beckoning to me so I couldn't let this beauty slip through my fingers again, and after a rear wheel bearing replacement I'm hoping for many miles happy cruising

Welcome to the Club, Niall.

You have one very quick car  --  in my opinion the S Type is a future classic.

Enjoy!

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Niall,

I think the s-type v8's are great

I put adamesh rear silencers on mine, which makes a superb sound now, too quiet standard

there not too loud and just make a lovely burble just cruising around

welcome to the club

cheers

Joe

Many thanks to everyone for the kind welcome, pictures will follow once thir off my phone and thanks Joe exhausts are a big priority for me as I do like to hear the V8 burble

If you can afford so the stainless custom made the exhausts can be great, they will manufacture the sound to the specification you ask, my V8 sounds like a cat purring in slow traffic, anything more than 1500 revs sounds like a Ferrari and after 2500 revs goes back into a quieter mode for cruising

Plans in place as we have a garage in Turriff that makes up stainless systems, just need to compare some prices of full cat back systems and the back boxes like Adamesh

The company I used in Cardiff replaced both CATS at a cost of £400 each for sports CATS and the total bill was £1150.00 but well worth it with a lifetime warrantee. Even loaned me a car whilst it was being fitted.
