Hi Tony,

Thanks for the reply Andrew. I must have done something wrong as the disk I burned won't work. I get "check disk" message.

Yeah, sounds about right, not sure what media you are using, mine are Sony -R and don't thro an error message.

Cheers

I don't think the CD player in the S-Type is capable of playing MP3 files.

Same CDC chassis in both X and S as far as I'm aware so if it can play MP3 what a bonus :yahoo:

Mine are Philips CD -R. Not sure what else I can try? Copying from windows laptop. Be good if I could do it. Would keep the wife happy.

Mine are recorded from a Mac, not sure if that makes a difference.

Think I will give up then. Don't like her music anyhow :w00t: thanks guys.

Hahaha, my wife is not keen on my choice either.....  just checked my system to see what it does, from what I can see, it is burning an audio cd for playing in standard type CD players, it seems to be converting the files to suite this format (what ever that is)

i just put in what I want to do with the CD and the software does the rest, the upshot is I can only get approx 8-10 tracks per CD so guessing it's as per a bought cd.

cheers

It decode MP3 files.  You have to burn the files as audio tracks to the CD so that it looks like a regular CD.  My 2006 won't read CD-RW disks.

Thanks guys. Working now. Much appreciated

Nice one, Tony,

glad you got it sorted

Forget mp3s in a jaguar.

They were behind the times when it came to incar technology.

They had an option of a cassette player in 2003!!!

OK with the Audio Connectivity Module Andy. Not what you'd call a cheap modification though. Having said that, I've seen them going for less than £150 on a couple of occasions recently.
