Good evening ladies and gentle men 

 

i have recently just bought a jaguar s type 2.5 v6 had the bug for a jag for years.

was always a bigger fan of the x type personally but recently swayed at the s type. beautiful car in love.

 

question though what should i look for any common problems things to watch out for any advice on little snags to prevent if possible major problems happening.

 

car isnt used daily its my (sunday car) too busy with my business for daily use.

The first thing I would do is to remove your sill covers and check for corrosion. Then check your boot / wheel well for water. Keep an eye on your battery as well. S-Types are notorious for throwing up spurious faults and error codes if the battery is not in tip-top condition.
