Unfortunately at the latest service and pre-mot through up a fare number of issues around front and rear bushes and drop links so it was with some regret that prudence dictated that it was time to exchange the cat, good news her indoors allowed me to indulge myself with a 3ltr d Xf, so one big cat for another, I must say after a couple of days driving I'm amazed how good it holdes the road and all the bells and whistles are fun. The only downside I can see is I am uncertain if the xf can support a bonnet growler any opinions guys

Hi Thomas

Don't know about the growler, but how does the XF compare to the S type? I know it's only early days

Very different beasts Steave, but the jaguar experience is still there if that makes sense,  think the s type a little more rrefined,  would liked to have kept her , but after taking early retirement needs must, and with every drive liking the xf better and better

I'm pleased for you Thomas, shame about the S type

Enjoy your new Jaguar, and let us know how it goes, definitely would be interested in your comparisons

Best regards

Steve

Hi Michael,

The s type is an iconic car and the leaper is basic in the design on the Mk1 and the Mk2.  But is definitely does to suit the bonnet of the XF.

I was talking to an old lady in the Sainsbury's car park this afternoon and while she was admiring my S Type with the leaper, she did say that it was a pity the leaper was not suited to the XF.

Hope you enjoy the new Jaguar.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi, I think that given the XF has a pedestrian "friendly" bonnet kind of means that a bonnet leaper goes against that idea. The leaper would likely skewer a pedestrian so the pop up bonnet beater would be a little pointless.
