I will be picking up my first Jaguar next week. It's a Jaguar S Type 3.0 V6 SE and it will be my first Jaguar. I have been meaning to buy one since I was 17, when I first saw my first XK120. When I was able to afford one my wouldn't let me own a jaguar because she had witnessed a fatal accident. My wife passed away last year and I am sure she wouldn't stand in my way now.

Here in Wales we have some beautiful roads to travel along between the North and South Wales. I think the car will love it as much as I will. The car is in great condition and as I now 68 I hope it will be my last car with the help and advice I can gain from this site.

You never know I may be able to tell you of some great journeys  I hope to do.

I know the area in which you live very well.  When I was working  --  I worked in the Steel Industry all my life  --  I had some good friends in Bridgend, Port Talbot, Ebbw Vale etc .  I also worked at Shotton for 8 years!

The S type is a great car and a very safe one.  The top speed is over 140 mph which means it will stop at similar speed, and a doddle at 70 mph.

Just enjoy your car  ---  your late wife would have loved it.
