Bonnet leaper for S-type 2004

Hi all. Unfortunately someone has stolen my leaper from bonnet.. Do you know where could I get a replacement for it and?  Tried various sites but can't find it. My bonnet has got one round hole only and the ones that are for sale have got additional pin there, for bonnet with two holes. As far as I could managed to find out I need something like Arden, with one mount but the original one costs around 300 quid :/.

Check out eBay and Amazon perhaps is all I can suggest if you do not want to pay an arm and a leg! (Some Jag dealers behave like the real thing)

Hi Steve.

Unfortunately there isn't any of that type. All of them has got different mount to mine. To get it fit I would need to drill another hole in my bonnet which I don't want to do. :(

think the oe ones came with just the large pin

its not a problem the little pins on the ones on eBay can be snapped off easy, they only chromed diecast

there's also double sided sticky take on them as well

a lot of people use that method as they can revert back to the bonnet badge if they wanted

Hi Again Kris,

Joes right as usual, provided the barrel of the Leaper will fit through the main hole and can be secured its an easy job to remove the locating peg.

Yeah I know guys, but I still think it looks much better without that triangle base. Will try to find one, if not I will but just the standard one.

Do you know any places for spares? Like eurojag.

I think on those models the triangle is part of the hinge mount to which the leaper is fixed Probably not removable sad to say.
