I'm Kie, been on other Jag forums for quite some time and I now own an XF, my previous Jag being an X-Type 3.0 AWD, great car but sadly gone now owing to someone else's ineptitude. Pleased to meet you all and I may know some members already but hope to contribute in some way. Thanks.

Welcome to the Club, Kieron.

I also had an X type, 2.5 AWD --  mine was sadly gone also by what is now called car jacking.

The club is about sharing experiences and you will find that they are invaluable.

My second Jaguar is an S Type, which I thoroughly enjoy.

Regards,

Peter.

Welcome, Kieron,

Same here used to have a 2,5 v6 AWD X-Type and love that car.  Got an XF 6 weeks ago and absolutely love it.

Is there a Lancashire equivalent of 'You can always tell a Yorkshireman but you can't always tell a Yorkshireman'?

Yes it's 'You can always tell a Lancashireman but you can't always tell a Lancashireman' 🤣 (or a 'Lancastrian')

Yorkshiremen are always jealous of the Red Rose which reminds them that they lost their last battle to Lancashire at Bosworth Field in 1485.  They are also jealous that Lancastrians never toast the Queen, but rather HRH the Duke of Lancaster.

How very dare you old un.

Hi Stan,

All well, I hope.

Us Lancastrians and Yorkshire people like to have a lot of banter, but when it comes down to the hard stuff and they unite they are a force to be recognised.  We will  recall the times with Hutton and Washbrook opening the batting, and Statham and Trueman opening the bowling, and it 's hard to forget the Lancashire and Yorkshire Regiment in WW2  with their motto - "Let's get the so and sos".

Regards,

Peter.

A Yorkshireman and a Lancastrian walk into a bar..........

Put em head to head and the result is a totalled pub.

Put em back to back...same result!
