Hi.

Perhaps someone could answer a question for me please?

Does anyone know what the “actual” differences are between the ATE calipers on the late S types?

The Jaguar part numbers are different for the 305mm discs and the 326mm ones but the pads and piston diameters appear to be the same and typing different Reg numbers into parts suppliers brings the same items up for each car.

The reason is I would like to fit the bigger discs to my car and I have a set of the correct caliper carriers for front and rear and am hoping that the calipers will work with the bigger discs......

Many thanks, Chris.

hi

the calipers are usually the same

the bigger discs increase stopping power

but for best brakes some people fit the Brembo's of the S-type R

cheers

Hi.

Thank you for the information. I was hoping the calipers would be the same, they look the same but the Jaguar part numbers are different for the 305 and 326mm discs.

I will check again but hopefully they will be ok!

Regards Chris.
