Hi I've just bought a 2016 xfr sport and I've heard some jags have remote start with using mobile phones with the jaguar apps , my question is how do I know can I do this with my car ? I have the SIM card connection in the boot but that's all I know and I've got the app on the phone , can I get a SIM card or is it only a new car build option only from the factory

Martin, I’ve only had mine since May but I called Jaguar support paid £30 and it was made active. You can also get the car to flash the headlights and sound the horn, also remote lock. Good luck

Hopefully I’ve been of help.

You'll need to create an account on incontrol.jaguar.com if you haven't already and then add the car to your account. If it was added to the previous owners account, and he or she didn't remove it from their account, you will not be allowed to do it. Instead you must contact a dealer, who can help with deregistering it and then register it to your account. Then you can see if the subscription is still valid (last the first 3 years). If it has expired you will need to pay 30 quid for one years subscription. Download Jaguar Remote from the app store and login to you account.
I've just been through this with my XJ, but I'm rather certain the procedure is the same for all.
