Hi everyone, I have bought an X-Type 2.2 diesel and I absolutely love it!! Without doubt the best car I've ever owned. It is so smooth and comfortable and all for less than 3 months payments on a new XF!!!

I service the car myself.

My question is, will Mondeo parts fit, ie. brakes and suspension?

even though every one says there a mondeo, they share next to nothing

would not even try to use mondeo parts, sometime the correct parts are cheaper

Hi Rob and welcome to the club.

Joe has given you a very correct answer.

The first few x type were Mondeos  rebadged.  They sold about half a dozen.

The 2.2 Diesel engine is also used in the XF.

Welcome to the Club, Rob.   I had two x-types previously both 2.5 v6 AWD both very reliable cars.  Th only part I had to buy other than oil, Filters, Brakes, Tyres & Wipers was one ABS Sensor for the first one.  Had each one for around 4/5 years.
