Wing mirror puddle lights

Hi I’m new to the group.

I’m looking to add the puddle lights to my none electric folding mirrors on my 2016/17 XF, was wondering if the wiring was in the mirrors and in the car door already or will I need to buy a new set of mirrors and add the wiring to the car

I've heard that the Wiring Looms are made for individual cars, so i'm not sure if there will be any wiring already there.

I don't know why Jag don't include more of this sort of thing as standard, I'm sure it would help sales. Even now the latest XE/Xf doesn't have folding mirrors as standard on at least some specs.

As for my own 2009 Prem Lux XF I don't know if it has puddle lights or not. I've never noticed the lights come on when I've opened the doors at night, though I've only had it for a month so only done that a couple of times. But I noticed when cleaning it today that the lens is there under the door mirror. 

The handbook doesn't mention them at all which is a bit odd, since it seems to include everything else whether fitted or not. i.e. presumably to cover all models.
