Hi Mark,

That is a good record.  I have had my cars serviced and repaired for the has 19 years by a mobile mechanic who had his full training by a local Main dealer for both Rover and Jaguar.  He has looked after my cars [and my wife's cars] for 19 years.

Regards,

Peter.

P.S. We are both from Merseyside, and just migrated to Sutton Coldfield via North Wales and Derbyshire.

Hi Mark,

The moderne cars needs lots of very technical knowledge  --  It has passed me over the years from The Triumph Herald which was easy to maintain in 1965! My mechanic is up to date like yourself.

I have the 2,7 diesel, and I agree with you about the electric handbrake which I have now mastered -- I keep my battery well charged.

I was born and lived in Widnes for 32 years before emigrating to Wales, then Derbyshire - I worked in Sheffield - and then here in Sutton Coldfield.  My wife is from Liverpool, born in Scotland road and after the war went to live in Huyton.  We left Merseyside 53 years ago!

Regards,

Peter.
