Does anyone know what the small light if for under the CD player, been bugging me for ages.

If glows orange and only comes on with the headlights then it’s a courtesy light and is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.😁

You may also find one on the overhead console.😀

Now I am intrigued, and understand how you feel. I am investigating and will let you know if I find out!

Latest info I have is that it may be a IR receiver for a remote control to do with the rear entertainment pack.

Or perhaps it lights up when a CD is inserted.

Maybe just for 'ambient lighting'?

Its not for the CD player as I'm sure others will already have found. And I don't have a rear entertainment pack (unless the grandchildren count...) so can't vouch for that. Also nothing to do with the lights, tried all that as well.
