CTEK quick connector

Featured Replies

Hi, I’d like to fit a quick connector lead to my battery so I can quickly and easily hook up my CTeK charger. Can I use the terminals in the n/s rear wing behind the tail light and the one in the spare wheel well for a permanent attachment?

For your car you can direct to the battery as you don’t have the BMS fitted.

Yes John, you will have no problems with going direct to the battery terminals as you don’t have the BMS either.

Many thanks Jim.   Cheers , John

The same applies, if you do not have the BMS fitted at the negative terminal, as you don’t,  then direct to the battery terminals is ok.

You can go direct but it’s much easier to connect one terminal to the positive in the rear quarter behind the flap and the other to earth on the stud in the wheel well.

hi

Just make sure your quick connectors have a inline fuse on  them as close to the battery as possible

as some leads dont have a inline fuse, so if you short the wires by mistake it would melt the wiring, virtualy instantly been so close to the battery

cheers

Joe
