What is the range for a Jaguar key fob to lock or unlock a vehicle? I have to get within 10 feet  for it to work

My S-Type works at 20 yds from behind the car and 10 yds from in front of the car. ????????????????

Mine works from indoors, as did my previous XF. Distance about 15 feet, through a window with leaded diamond shaped panes.

You don't want it to work too far from the car, otherwise a bad actor could clone it between you and the house. That's why I keep my keys in a Faraday bag.
