S-type, Noise from behind the dash

Hello, has anyone experienced any odd noises from behind the dash of an S-TYPE.

it happens as soon as the key is inserted, and continues even when the key is removed.

I thought it was the air con at first, but it is not. It is like a printer running in the background.

Any ideas would be a help.

Hi Steve, when I get into the car, all is quiet, put in the key, and do not turn it the noise begins.

I do not know how long, but it goes on for quite some time. Even if you remove the key it continues for 2-3 minutes.

I keep the car inside my workshop, and I am going up there today so I can get a better idea of how long it lasts once the key is in.

I did post the issue with the Jaguar voice command not responding, could they be related ?

Welcome Trevor, If the car was bought from a dealer I would take it back, there could possibly be a loose wire, near the ignition, so when the key goes in the ignition, making a circuit
