Orange light came on with the message of restricted performance, my main problem is I have looked and can't find where I can plug in my diagnostic tester to find the fault, someone out there please help as I bet it's somewhere obvious and just overlooked it. The car sounds ok and appears to be running fine, it's bugging me to be fare.

You will find it just left of the steering column, underneath and to the front of the shelf . you will feel it rather then see it.  It can be seen from kneeling position out side the car with with drivers door open.

You will find that engine will not rev above 2.5 thousand revs while light is on.

Thank you for that information, I will go armed with my diagnostic tester tomorrow and see what's wrong with the old girl.

It's coming up faulty ABS so looks like a trip to the garage, I have reset it and it hasn't come back on, so I'm taking it for a good run tomorrow and see what happens, but it all appears ok. Just wish there was a code but nothing.

Glad you found your connection. Perhaps it is just a glitch in the abs system, especially as you you cleared it and it has not returned. Fingers crossed.

I have had that, but it just came and went.

I gave the car a good run into Derbyshire on Wednesday, fish and chips lunch, and plenty of fresh air.

The engine returned 37 mpg, even though coming back I had the "S" button pressed to give the DPF a good regeneration.

Well chaps it looks like a nice run out to the Lake District and a spot of lunch, it will do the car good and me and the wife too.

Thank you again.

My favourite part of the world, Paul.  The first date with my wife.  The same day the Triumph T100 blew up.  The place of our honeymoon, and the venue with the children and grandchildren for my 80th birthday and our 50 years together in June.

Enjoy the day.

Regards

Peter.
