  1. Hi Leon....welcome to the Club

I'm sure it's not indicative of every dealer offering poor service but in your case I think it's a case of several elements of poor service coming together over a short space of time and although these things happen, it's unfortunate that it has tainted your opinion of Jaguar as a brand.

I wouldn't defend the dealership but I would hope that once things have settled down you will hopefully start to enjoy the pleasure of driving your XE and come round to liking Jaguar once more.

    Good to have you onboard

    Cheers,  Trevor

  2. Maybe worth checking the cam chain hasn't slipped and causing the timing to be out.

Easy to check if you put a socket on the cam carrier bolt directly in sight within the engine once you remove the Oil filler cap.

If it turns with no resistance then the chain has slipped.

  3. Hi Nick

Not sure about the caliper rebuild kit but the flexi hoses are available as an aftermarket upgrade through Goodridge and you can even get a discount through this club as a Premium Member.

Their steel braided hoses are far better than standard rubber hoses as they provide a more positive feel to brake pedal through less flexing and lost energy through the rubber ones deflecting when pressurised.

Hope you find the fault with the brakes

However, sometimes, I have to let my other, more aggressive, persona hold sway and for such occasions my favourite driving venue is the central streets around Rome. They can be a lot faster than you may at first think and so long as you operate on the basis of any space one foot shorter than the length of your car is yours you can have a fine old time.

    You're a very brave man!

The I-PACE, Jaguar’s first all-electric vehicle, has been shortlisted for the What Car? Reader Award, where the public choose the car they are most excited about seeing in 2018

It is competing against 12 other new vehicles with the winner being crowned at the What Car? Awards in January.

The Jaguar I-PACE is an electric car that combines a supercar silhouette with sports car performance, five-seater SUV versatility and zero emissions.

“We are extremely excited about the arrival of Jaguar’s first-ever electric vehicle and cannot wait to see the reaction of UK buyers. We believe the I-PACE’s groundbreaking design, true Jaguar performance and competitive range and charging times will make it the first real electric alternative to a traditional premium SUV”.    JEREMY HICKS - JAGUAR LAND ROVER UK MD

The motoring public can vote on the car they most look forward to seeing at www.wcreaderaward.com  until the closing date on 4 December at 17:00 (GMT).

When the production version is revealed it will become the latest member of Jaguar’s successful PACE family of SUVs. The F-PACE, Jaguar’s first SUV, went on sale in April 2016 and has become the fastest-selling Jaguar ever, recently surpassing the 100k sales mark globally.

The E-PACE, Jaguar’s new compact performance SUV, made its debut in July with a spectacular world record 270-degree corkscrew-like barrel-roll. It offers sports car looks with SUV practicality for the next generation of Jaguar customers and is available to order now.
