  1. Hi Paul

I don't think it should be an issue with non-standard bulbs as it is the deflection they are looking for rather than the light output so LED bulbs should be okay as long as there is no chance of causing glare to other drivers. Main beam generally doesn't have any deflection and is not a controlled light source, unlike the dip beam. So only difference is the light output will be increased and maybe with a different tone (blue, white, etc).

I put a car through an MOT recently and it had LED sidelights and indicator bulbs and there was no issue.

Will let you know if I do find any conflicting information though.

    Cheers,    Trevor

  2. I have seen this before with worn speedo drives (if mechanical or electro-mechanical) and/or worn gearbox bearings which can produce spurious results.
Easy to diagnose by removing any mechanical speedo drive from the gearbox and examining it for wear

  3. The discount is 15% for items throughout the store with the exception of bikes and bike related products which is 10%.

The offer excludes online purchases and the Halfords Autocentres (servicing, repairs, etc)

As R2e has already correctly stated, you need to get them to calculate the discount and then swipe the card which then acts as a Discount Voucher.

  4. Hi Richard...welcome to the Club

It seems like your buying criteria is a well-balanced one and I would also consider it as the majority of the Jaguar owners criteria also.

I think for the question of build quality, I would see if you could get onto the Jaguar Factory tour in Leamington where you see the XF and XJ being built and really gives you an insight into the high-quality build standards these models are produced.

Let us know what model you decide on

    Cheers,  Trevor

  5. Hi Mark....There doesn't appear to be any additional discount to attend as a club but if you don't register on the stand I think they just put you anywhere hence the reason to turn up together (ideally). Anyone not attending and driving in without a Jag is going to be charged £24.75 to get in, so a great deal overall.

  6. I'm going to book a Club Stand for the event based on the fact that we have at least 4 members wishing to attend on the stand.

Ideally, it would be ideal to have more than 4 (think the minimum number may be 5) so if anyone can share the post to get more to attend that would be good, thanks.

Remember, it is a huge saving on entrance fees as it would be £24.95 as a visitor for the day and only £10 if booked in advance, £12 on the day if attending as part of a Club Stand.

Please Note:   YOU WILL NEED TO EITHER BOOK IN ADVANCE OR PAY ON THE DAY - QUOTE 'JAGUAR OWNERS CLUB STAND'

So here's the running list so far:

    1. Jason4B

    2. Mark Five

    3. Stephenk

    4. iGStevie
