Will it fit the XKR, and where do I plug it in?
Yes it will fit. Sit in the drivers seat, where your right knee is, look under there, that’s where the OBD port is.

Hi Chris and welcome. As the engine has been stood for so long, remove the plugs and put a teaspoon of Oil down each. Wait 5 minutes and then spin then engine on the starter for 5 - 10 seconds. Replace the plugs and retest the compression, if still the same then you start dismantling.

Any Jaguar independent specialist should be able to read the codes for you.
A icarsoft i930 code reader would also be useful to you.
What appears to be the problem?

Welcome to the forum. Here’s one option, https://www.jagdroid.org

Thx again. Please excuse my rampant stupidity, but do you have an idiots guide on how to charge the battery. I am clearly non technical. Can it be charged in situ or has to be removed. Apologies
Yes it can be but do make sure the negative of the charger goes to an earth point and not the battery. The procedure should be in your manual.

Welcome to the forum.
I would start by fully charging the battery despite it starting the car especially seeing the first and third pictures. Once charged, try again.

Lubed, wiggled and now moving freely! Thanks again.
Excellent news and thanks for the update.🤙

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, the only way to know what’s going on is to remove the door card and check the movement of the linkages.
Enjoy.😊

Welcome to the forum, Ron. This electrical manual may help you identify the circuits you’re having trouble with.

My question is.... can I manually fold the mirrors in if needed?
Yes you can, they are designed that way. If they haven’t been moved for some time then spray some lubricant into the swivel point and just keep wiggling them until they are in the park position

follow the lines back from the lights that don’t work, should help you narrow it down.

Than you for your prompt reply, I will get on it asap.
Please bear in mind that some of the codes you retrieve will be historical. Write them all down and then clear the lot, take the car for a drive and then see what codes, if any, come back.

Thank you for your reply, greatly appreciated.
No I don't have one, but I know someone who does, I will ask him to do a check. When I have the fault codes how do I translate them?
Simply post the codes you get and we’ll let you know what they mean, possible causes and solutions.

32psi sounds right to me, the correct pressure should be on a plate either in the engine bay or perhaps the passenger ‘B’ pillar.
-
Hi Nick,
Not sure on your car. Having the codes read will take out the guesswork though.

I'm assuming its a module?
First of all, never assume as that could cost you a lot of money.
You really need to have the codes read in order to point you in the right direction.
Having had the fault myself, it was found to be a ride height sensor, which is more likely to be your problem also.
