  1. I had mine changed at 102,000. I have a 3.0 V6 on a 60 plate. Belt was removed and looked in great condition, but better to be safe than sorry I guess!
  2. Ask an independent auto locksmith. They should shed some light
  3. Sounds like a cross over somewhere. Do you have a code reader to pull any fault codes?
  4. Door locks are a common problem on these motors. Probably requires the whole lock to be replaced but you`ll need to go to a garage and get it checked out.
  5. Hi Mark, straight back to the garage if you ask me. The parts they changed obviously did not need changing, so charging you £650 to replace these parts that did not fix the problem should be instantly refunded.
  6. Personally, I would change both. I believe that these cars are prone to this issue.
  7. Thank you. It's a 2010 model, so I guess it's under the seat. Is it easy to replace?
  8. So, everything working well with the Jag lately. Recently serviced, cam belt replaced, cross over pipe replaced. Battery being charged regularly. All of a sudden, my Bluetooth to my phone drops out. To the point where the screen asks me to search for a new device, but when selected, nothing happens. No search. Nothing. I am hoping it is as simple as a fuse, but any ideas otherwise please?
  9. Economy for me. Im too old to be speeding around!!
  10. I am thinking of getting my 2010 3.0 V6 done next month when I get a cambelt change, so I will follow this thread out of interest
  11. To be honest, that seems a reasonable price for this job. And the guy would need to guarantee that it will not give up for decent period of time
  12. Mine works within approx 2 metres, so yours could be correct
  13. Took to an independent Jag specialist who sorted me a new key. All good now, thank you.
  14. I have an odd issue. The battery in my remote control only lasts around 3 days. I have changed it 3 times in a week. I can lock the car OK, walk into the office. When I come back, I cant unlock the car and need to go through the process of using the key in the boot, setting off the alarm, and inserting key into slot. Get home form work and I cant lock the car. Replace remote battery. Car locks. I get in the next morning - `smart key not found- insert smart key into slot` - Insert the key and all goes ok. 3 days later. Get to work, and I cant lock the car. Process repeats. The batteries are Duracell, so they're not cheap, but why on earth are they running flat in just a few days? This never happened until recently. I have stripped the remote to see if there permanent send issues, but all seem fine. I really don't want to be asking the dealer for a new key!!!
  15. Wow!! My local jaguar specialist has quoted me £1428.98 for a full service and cambelt replacement. Labour costs: £168.00 for the service £528.00 for the cam belt. Total: £696.00 The remainder is made up of parts costs + VAT.
