  1. Welcome to the forum. Lots of useful knowledge on here. Car looks great. I hope you have many years of driving with it.
  2. I agree with Jim. I used to work from home regularly and I would need to plug in my C-Tek charger once a month for about 24hrs as the car wasn't being regularly used and several minor electrical faults would pop up. Since starting the new job back in December, I am driving about 65 miles a day, predominantly on the motorway, and I have had no battery / electrical issues at all (touch wood). I can only assess that this is due to the amount of driving I am doing and keeping the battery topped up.
  3. I had mine changed at 102,000. I have a 3.0 V6 on a 60 plate. Belt was removed and looked in great condition, but better to be safe than sorry I guess!
  4. Ask an independent auto locksmith. They should shed some light
  5. Sounds like a cross over somewhere. Do you have a code reader to pull any fault codes?
  6. Door locks are a common problem on these motors. Probably requires the whole lock to be replaced but you`ll need to go to a garage and get it checked out.
  7. Hi Mark, straight back to the garage if you ask me. The parts they changed obviously did not need changing, so charging you £650 to replace these parts that did not fix the problem should be instantly refunded.
  8. Personally, I would change both. I believe that these cars are prone to this issue.
  9. Thank you. It's a 2010 model, so I guess it's under the seat. Is it easy to replace?
  10. So, everything working well with the Jag lately. Recently serviced, cam belt replaced, cross over pipe replaced. Battery being charged regularly. All of a sudden, my Bluetooth to my phone drops out. To the point where the screen asks me to search for a new device, but when selected, nothing happens. No search. Nothing. I am hoping it is as simple as a fuse, but any ideas otherwise please?
  11. Economy for me. Im too old to be speeding around!!
  12. I am thinking of getting my 2010 3.0 V6 done next month when I get a cambelt change, so I will follow this thread out of interest
  13. To be honest, that seems a reasonable price for this job. And the guy would need to guarantee that it will not give up for decent period of time
