Charlie,
You cannot spend too much time on the moors ( that's the big green open space with tall things growing out of it) .

Is there some way to listen to the radio without everything else coming on?
The start button without brake press seems to be the equivalent of a
key operated vehicle's ignition position, whereby everything starts
except the engine. If the equivalent of the accessory position is
available, I can't find it.
Amanda,
After extensive research and taking advice from people in the know , the answer is just press the radio on/off knob (the round silver one) .
Bet you don't feel as stupid as me !

Peter,
The CD player solution sounds more interesting than what the Scots are up to .
The rugby sounds good, used to play it a lot in my younger days, albeit rugby union which they play down south.
I do like both codes though, and have had some cracking days out at Wembley in years gone by for various rugby league finals .
I hope you have a fab day out, which I'm sure you will.

P.S. I cannot make heads nor tail of that American Football though can you ? perhaps Alex Salmond can, he seems to know everything

Charlie,
I was only joking, not bothered about it in the slightest, as long as you keep Andy Murray up there . it is probably about the most boring thing this year , and you watched it? surely entertainment can't be that scarce up their, you have the Edinburgh fringe ? !
It's times like this I'm glad I haven't got a telly
Prefer the XKR to the F Type .

Mike ,
Was in Sutton last Friday to see some music and my daughter in Croydon , also lived in Alton in Hampshire . Why did you move up north ?
Been in Devon for 29 years , and I am the only car owner.

Mike,
I have no excuse? excuse me I live in Devon,we've only just got electricity, and by the widest stretch of the imagination we can't be classed as civilsed. Seaweed is our main diet (they really do eat it down here) !
Think you mean North of the Thames .
I'm more northern than most of you anyway .
And just so you don't get confused .
ATB,

Peter,
I don't know , something Mike was going on about . And you wonder why I get confused by you Northerners !

Simon,
Can't you download a manual online ?
Charlie,
Would you like myself an Peter to pop up to sort things out before you go your own way on September 18th ?

Charlie,
My centre console has a USB port so I can play decent music in the car , it probably has a docking slot for the key fob, but if it has, I haven't noticed .

Charlie,
I realise that, I was just teasing, the only time I like 'er indoor's dog is when the thing is in the kennels, and the only time it goes in the car is to the kennels or to the vets .
This is the trouble you get with women, and some peeps even renew their wedding vows ! ( only teasing again) .
Get shot of the Vauxhall, just keep the XK.
ATB,
Trevor

Amanda,
I haven't a slot or a hole anywhere anywhere .

Amanda,
Mine doesn't have a slot , it is keyless entry and start ,I do take the fob with me but 'er indoors has a spare key in her suitcase handbag x
My ignition will not turn on unless the fob is inside the car

Amanda,
I've often wondered that, on my XKR .
Quite often i've come out of a shop and the wife has everything switched on (via the start button as you stated ) along with various messages such as " Battery Low" ( it isn't) , and "The system will be shut down and you will be shot to preserve the battery "
Quite irritating ( and that's just the wife )

Peter,
Always yearned for a black car until I got one, it always looked dirty.
My (Polaris) White XJ Supersport seemed to show the dirt less strangely enough .
My XKR is Kyanite Blue (semi metallic ) a very nice colour but a made up one I reckon !

Peter,
When I went to the Jag stealership in Taunton with the idea of trading my XJ Supersport for and XKR or an F Type the salesman said " God it's white !, you didn't mention that on the phone" .
Evidently white cars are involved in the least accidents .

Simon,
Welcome to the club, the members are all fairly tame and can usually find an answer to most problems .
Charlie is being far to modest , but has a Vauxhall fetish at the moment .
ATB,

Ricki,
Welcome, i'm sure you will enjoy the Jag, they just have that certain "something" .
If you get any problems there is usually someone about that will point you in the right direction .
I might add, that Peter and myself are the oldest surviving Jaguar owners .
ATB,

Peter,
But why should the size of the engine make any difference ?

Peter,
My 20" wheels on the XKR give a fab ride .

Steve,
Good job I didn't pop down then, was going to, but though there would be too many grocks (emmets) about .
Are you going up that there north?
