Charlie,
Very nearly bought the F Type, but as i said they only had the dinky toy engine and the wife said I would only want the 5 litre if I bought it and wouldn't be satisfied so I got the XKR.
I like the XKR more and more every day, and have now lost interest in the F Type, don;t get me wrong, a very good car, but prefer the XKR in every way .
And of course your XK is going to be better than a couple of German Taxis !

Robert,
I looked at the F type, but they only had the 3 litre version available, had the F Type R 5 litre on show and it was going to be £93K , so like you I'd though i'd wait a bit for depreciation before buying one .
I have since bought the XKR, and is it fantastic ! I have now changed my mind about the F Type as I prefer the XKR, it is a good looking car and is also more practicable .
It is identical to this one except mine has Ivory interior .
everyone I meet remarks what a stunning car it is , so I wouldn't be to hasty about the F Type .

Peter,
Drive into a Jaguar dealership and ask them what they call the colour . Mine is called Kyanite blue .
There should be a label inside the drivers door post which will give you the paint code along with other info like date of manufacture .
This might help :

Peter,
Mine is the other way round, it is her who wants to buy the Jags,BMW's and the Astons , I give her some leeway, but put my foot down on occasions .

Kevin,
How can I have money, I'm married!

Peter,
Yes indeed, have ordered some, it is something I have a thing about, same as I have for loose tea over tea bags, and text speak.

Stephen,
I don't think it will be any different from the manuals you found .

Peter,
I shall have a look there myself, need some new shirts, I presume they do double cuff for cuff links?.

Peter,
Still from Stoke though, a lot of them live down south when they get a few bob, even Ringo Starr lives just outside of Guildford (Cranleigh) , and I didn't think the scouse were allowed in Surrey .
No one has any money down here in Ilfracombe apart from Damien hirst

Tomas,
Borrowed one from the Grange in Exeter after they mangled my Aston, quite liked it and nearly bought it, but for the extra it cost over the XF-R I didn't think it was worth it, it took them ages to sell it also .
I notice the Aston Martin Rapide is on the list , and they aren't fast . I had two DB9's and my XJ Supersport was faster, and my XKR definitely is .

Peter,
I bet there are . Robbie Williams is from Stoke, he's not short of a bob or two , neither is John Madejski .

Kevin,
Well that is different from what Mrs B-P has told us !

Dale,
I had the same thing with my XJ Supersport last year, they said it would go away once the tyres had bedded in, I didn't believe them, had the tracking done, wheels balanced, bearing checked, but eventually is disappeared, it was tyre noise .

Jonanthan,
Also, the first sign of Madness is when you see Suggs coming up your drive.

Kevin,
It all depends on what you call cheap, but I would say so yes, Jags do devalue some , and it has to be a better option than a Vauxhall

Jonanthan,
Take no notice of Peter, he's only teasing, if the north was so great you wouldn't find so many of them down south .

P.S., We're not serious , it's just a bit of banter we have between us

Welcome Jonathan,
To answer your question , if it makes you happy you are not slightly mad .
What is so wrong with being slightly mad anyhow, I call it character .

Decent ones on mine are about £218 a corner , but I expected that as they're 20" wheels. They don't need doing yet, but the website is a good one to bear in mind.

Charlie,
Keep meaning to ask you , does your XK have a water temperature gauge ? , as my XKR doesn't appear to.

Actually live at Channel View in Pontymister . Played rugby Summer and Winter ; got quote good in the end, played for Weybridge in Surrey and played at Twickenham .
Without being big headed, I was one of the best hookers in the country, rubbish in the towns and cities, but not bad in the country .

Steve,
Doesn't the Sat Nav read directly off the disc ? I don't think it loads up on to the cars computer hard drive as such, otherwise it would work without the disc in it, and putting you old disc back in it should revert to normal.
And the fact the reception is poor without the disc points to the possibility it is some other cause than the sat nav disc .

Peter,
All my family live away, so I don;t need a four seater .
I agree, the S type is a fab looking car, said so at the time it was introduced, I really liked the retro look .

You think you have problems Kevin, mine is manic depressive, and spending money is one of the traits of it, she just doesn't know the value of it.
She spends so much money she should have been christened Penny .
It is my 65th next week , and God knows what she'll get me, it will be nice , but will cost me !
