  1. You think you have problems Kevin, mine is manic depressive, and spending money is one of the traits of it, she just doesn't know the value of it.

She spends so much money she should have been christened Penny .

It is my 65th next week , and God knows what she'll get me, it will be nice , but will cost me !

  2. Charlie,

Very nearly bought the F Type, but as i said they only had the dinky toy engine and the wife said I would only want the 5 litre if I bought it and wouldn't be satisfied so I got the XKR.

I like the XKR more and more every day, and have now lost interest in the F Type, don;t get me wrong, a very good car, but prefer the XKR in every way .

And of course your XK is going to be better than a couple of German Taxis !

    ATB,

  3. Robert,

I looked at the F type, but they only had the 3 litre version available, had the F Type R 5 litre on show and it was going to be £93K , so like you I'd though i'd wait a bit for depreciation before buying one .

I have since bought the XKR, and is it fantastic ! I have now changed my mind about the F Type as I prefer the XKR, it is a good looking car and is also more practicable .

It is identical to this one except mine has Ivory interior .

everyone I meet remarks what a stunning car it is , so I wouldn't be to hasty about the F Type .

  4. Peter,

Still from Stoke though, a lot of them live down south when they get a few bob, even Ringo Starr lives just outside of Guildford (Cranleigh) , and I didn't think the scouse were allowed in Surrey .

No one has any money down here in Ilfracombe apart from Damien hirst

  5. Tomas,

Borrowed one from the Grange in Exeter after they mangled my Aston, quite liked it and nearly bought it, but for the extra it cost over the XF-R I didn't think it was worth it, it took them ages to sell it also .

I notice the Aston Martin Rapide is on the list , and they aren't fast . I had two DB9's and my XJ Supersport was faster, and my XKR definitely is .

  6. Lyn .

Actually live at Channel View in Pontymister . Played rugby Summer and Winter ; got quote good in the end, played for Weybridge in Surrey and played at Twickenham .

Without being big headed, I was one of the best hookers in the country, rubbish in the towns and cities, but not bad in the country .

  7. Steve,

Doesn't the Sat Nav read directly off the disc ? I don't think it loads up on to the cars computer hard drive as such, otherwise it would work without the disc in it, and putting you old disc back in it should revert to normal.

And the fact the reception is poor without the disc points to the possibility it is some other cause than the sat nav disc .

    ATB,

    Trevor
