  1. Funny enough mine does exactly the same at low speed and on the drivers side! I just wedged a small bit of card in the gap on mine
  2. Fitted bosch aero twins yesterday. Sprayed the arms in satin black while i was at it.
  3. Also think about ebc redstuff brakepads they dont make so much brake dust and are designed for heavy cars. So less build up of brake dust between cleaning
  4. Id be interested in if anyones done it to. Both my mirrors went a bit stiff last week and have used lots of wd40 like last time but are very juddery still and squeaky!
  5. Mines 2003 and was fitted from new as an option
  6. I plan on doing my fuel filter in the next couple of weeks on my 3.0. Luckily its behind the n/s/f wheel arch liner which I planned to take off anyway to repair a small split. Got a k&n replacement for half the price of a jaguar one.
  7. Ive posted this image before but this was the airfilter on mine when I got it. The previous owner always had it serviced and maintained at main dealer, and had a full service 6months or so before I bought it and this is what the air filter looked like.. (the pollen filter wasnt much better)
  8. Not sure if the work for ipods but have you considered a fm transmitter? I use one in my van so I can listen to my music from my phone. Lead plugs into the headphone jack then into the power piont in vehicle and transmits at a frequency you can tune into on the radio. Not ideal as you cant skip song from wheel but they do only cost a tenner.
  9. Heres mine. Was green originally. I put a carpet inside and floor mats made of felt also had the correct plates (until I got my private one)
  10. As Andy put above. Audio connectivity module. heres a google image of it.
  11. Mine came with the acm in the armrest and TV/DVD Player in the centre. Dont have an ipod though but guess it still works. Always play my music from my phone which works great
  12. Mine hardly moved either when I got it. WD40 trick worked for me to
  13. First real detail for me last week. Washed with bilt-hamber shampoo, bilt hamber clay bar. Washed again and dried with kent drying towel ( cant recommend this enough) meguirs polish followed by meguirs wax. Then sonex Brilliant shine detailer to seal it and make it bead like crazy
  14. I have an unstamped 1972 tax disc in my mk1 escort. Been waiting a few years before I could legally use it!
  15. Out of interest. Does your radiator look a little bowed from underneath? Seems quite a common problem caused by it twisting
  16. Very fine wet and dry with soapy water worked on my old car then sealed with a good wax
  17. The 3.0 is the same lump that was used in the mondeo ST but flipped round for the rwd jag. An awful lot of mondeo ST's have suffered from catastrophic big end failure but doesnt seem to be as common in Jaguars so can only put that down to the more 'enthusiastic' driving of sporty ford drivers! Mines done 110k and runs as sweet as new oils always golden and I always change oil once a year or every 10k whatever comes first. service history is the main thing to go for rather have a high milege car with a folder of receipts than a low milage car with very little.
  18. New stainless exhaust on. Only took 20 minutes to fit.
  19. Diesels have peaked they cant make the engines any more efficient to meet new emission rules hence why manufacturers have started to concentrate and invest on petrol engines again. That said cant see why an older diesel shouldnt be considered. But you may save in fuel with a diesel but repairs can be more costly
  20. I thought about this myself. But you would have to go the whole hog to make it look right. New side skirts and rear bumper or it wouldnt match the lines. Also facelift cars have different shaped boot and rear lights so not sure if it wouls be as straight foward as it looks
  21. Ive only ever bought Nexens. Rate them very highly
  22. Nexens are good enough. Better than some premium brands and dont wear so quick as the premium super soft compound tyres. Around £75
  23. The 2.5 and 3.0 are ford dura-tec engines
  24. Dad has an xf and prefers the shape of the s-type. Its very simular underneath but does have some nice gadgets
