I am a new member and have owned a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 3.2 Sport (X300) for 16 years and a Jaguar XK8 4.0 Convertible for the last 3 years

The X300 was fitted with a phone from new and has worked perfectly all that time and still does.

A few days ago I received a phone call whilst driving and the radio went into mute mode as usual. When the call finished the radio "stayed on tel mute mode".

I have tried all the suggestions including those in the Audio Instruction book on pressing a variety of buttons at the same time but it still remains on Tel Mute. I have done 3 hard boots by disconnecting the battery for long periods of time. I have pulled the radio out and checked the connections but the radio still stays stuck on mute.

Do you have any ideas? I don't particularly want to replace the radio with a different model, I expect I would have problems with the 6 player CD in the boot and of course all the phone cabling.

I have looked on Ebay and there are two reconditioned units for the X300 available but they are asking silly money.

I am hoping I can get this radio unlocked in situ without going to that expense.

Any help would be appreciated.
