hi Dave firstly welcome to the club
i had something along the same lines in my old x300 yrs ago, it turned out to be an engine mounting ? maybe have a look around the engine bay and give a few things a wiggle or the exhaust pipes etc best with two people one sat inside the car to give it a rev up & see if anything is loose etc if you cant move or see anything then it may be a trip to the garage
I KNOW I DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU THIS BUT PLEASE KEEP YOUR HANDS & ANY LOOSE CLOTHING OUT OF THE WAY OF ANY MOVING PARTS
sorry i cant help any futher

Hi Clive
I have, Don't go for the cheapy 10 for a quid ones off bay of E, They start to flicker in no time, Secondly they are polarity sensitive so check they are working before plugging them back in and refitting the back covers, Lastly they can be a bit of a swine to get access to in the ns if you have hands like shovels like me!!!!!!!
hi mark i haven't checked yet i assume the side light bulbs on all x type models are the 501 type

id get in touch with their head office
vosa should of revoked his authority to do MOT'S / and fined stratsone / and for the service manager & MD of the dealership both should be pulled over the coals for the strokes their staff have pulled.
but thanks to members likes yourself others don't get fooled the there antics.
well done Dave

yes tony you will. but as long as you use gen jaguar parts from an indie garage you will be ok just mind and state that to the garage you are planning to use or go to a main dealer and buy the pads from them and get the indie garage to fit them. keep the receipt
just adding my two pence worth
and i am not 100% about this, but was told that the indie garage if used has to be VAT reg as well or this could invalidate your warranty as well, i don't know what it has to do with being VAT reg this is what i was told

hi Jim
forgot too say if its glued in place you may want to leave the car for 24 hrs or so, to let the glue set the trim in place.
the only reason i know this is when a dealer replaced mine on another car
Ron
-
i assume you mean the trim 3/4 down on the door
take the door card off and with the window up you should see some plastic clips about 3/4 down the door could be white / black , squeeze / pop them out and the whole thing should come away if you cant see clips then its glued in place , now when you put the new one in you may have to buy new clips only a few £ you may also need get some adhesive to keep it in place.
you will find some are just clipped in place and some are clipped & glued depending how good a fit the moulding is
if this is not the trim then send a photo and i will see if i can send the info you need
hope it helps
