Working through the AC system on my X350 looking for an elusive leak, I got confused over pipe diameters and thought my charging manifold was wrongly labelled. The LP side is the larger diameter but the charging point is smaller than the HP one. It seems a strange idea to put the small diameter connector on the larger diameter pipe but that seems to be the norm. 🤔. I'm hoping that the new condenser will solve the problem but time will tell.

That's very interesting, I bought one of these for the my old XJR but had to remove it. Unfortunately the wired FM adaptor only has two switchable frequencies that it outputs on, which are right on top of where BBC Radio 2 sits on the FM band, so all I ended up with was FM 'bleed through' (even when the aerial feed was bypassed) This is because the signal strength is so good where I live that I can get full stereo reception on all of the BBC stations without an aerial plugged into the head unit !

i'll say x260, mainly due to x250 issues eliminated (i.e. cracked manifolds) as well as no rusty rear subframe (x260 is alu), when today, x250 is at very high risk of. go for xfs 3.0 v6 diesel (as you know already, 2.0d ingenium is very risky one to own), very reliable and great mpg for what it is. mapped mine to 350bhp/780nm's and i'm getting 50-53mpg on motorway cruise at motorwaty speeds. x260 xfs's are usualy very well specced as well, but need to watch out for thigs you want to have, as with x260 nearly everything came as option 🤨 so don't think it wil definitely have it, same as x250, when nearly everything was as std. good luck and keep us posted.

I have been chasing a problem in regards to the car I saved from being scrapped whereas it was discovered that no2 injector is doing nothing, After going through everything it turns out that the ECU seems to be the culprit, Now the thing is finding one of the exact part number is proving a pain mainly due to the two letters on the end of it, I believe those two letters are in regards to the software the car was born with, Also the first block of four digits seem to denote the year, mine starts with 4x43 so the first digit makes it a 2004, Anyhow as I look more into it even if I get one of the exact part number it would have to be coded in unless I cloned it from my old one, but with the problems my ECU has this may not be possible, Either way it all starts to get a bit too expensive, So my thought was to buy a used complete setup, (instrument cluster+ ECU's etc) from maybe a later year car in which case apart from the injectors having to be coded in, mileage incorrect & wrong VIN number (all of which would be issues anyway) what other problems would I face?.

Have you tried the spare key? It sounds like an immobiliser problem to me, specifically the system is no longer recognising the key so the spare may well work. There may be other causes but give the spare key a try first.

Hi, I broke the fixing of my rear load cover. This is the right one. I have searched for some hours now but only see the whole cover being sold. I will try a fixing of my own, using a proper plastic glue and a metal mesh, to try to make this more resistant to the screw loads. Plastic is too brittle for this fixing/bracket. However, just in case my fixing comes out poorly, has anyone seen these little objects on sale anywhere?

Hi Hugo, are you certain you have a "power lift" boot lid? Many jaguar's have a fob button to pop open the boot, but it is still a manual lift open and push closed. N6 JMX

Hi Robert, you should know that there is a "Marketplace" section of this Forum at the bottom of all the sections. Suggest that would be a more applicable place to post your spares availability. One more post here in the Classic Forum and your post goes off the front page and I doubt many will look here for parts availability. N6 JMX
