So success, I transplanted the top half of the key onto the new shell, and was really easy to programme into the car, so now I got my only key working as it should.

Hi everyone. New member here. I collected my first Jaguar today. 2010 XKR 5.0 supercharged. In black. Collected in Cornwall this afternoon, and drove her back to north Oxfordshire with a big grin on my face all the way home. Happy to be here!

Hi all I have a 2011 2.2d xf, the car is great when cold accelerates great no issues, on long motorway runs again no issues, but when I drive around town about 7-10 miles stop start I get some series acceleration issues, the car is very unpredictable sometimes it pulls away slowly and picks up gradually, other times it pulls away lime a snail and very slowly picks up, I have no error codes or fault lights, I have changed the MAF sensor, had the EGR valve programmed out of the ECU and changed all filters and can't find the issue, when the problem occurs if I put my foot to the floor it revs to about 3000 rpm but doesn't pick up and the gears are snatchy, I have had the transmission serviced and checked and that if fine any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all a quick question regarding the tyre pressure monitor system on my F Pace it has started to randomly lose contact with the rear driver wheel which I'm putting down to it's battery probably been nearly ten years old. As I'm about to have all 4 tyres replaced soon was wondering if it's a case of replacing the battery in them or should I just buy a full set of sensors and start a fresh. The tyres are going to sting me any way so don't want to have to pop them off later down the line when others start dying. Thanks in advance Pete.

Jaguar s type with nav
The Voices replied to Scott2611's topic in Jaguar Audio / Video / Electronics / Security Systems
My 2006 STR has the standard audio setup (not the Alpine 'Premium sound') I made a noticeable improvement to the sound by adding a 'stand alone' Alpine Class D amplifier. Most manufacturers offer them, commonly referred to as 'power pack' amplifiers. As the standard head unit in the car hasn't got line level outputs, my amplifier can accept either 'high level' inputs (fed from the speaker outputs of the head unit) or 'line level' inputs for head units that have this function. The amp is very compact, I managed to fit it behind the dashboard, after removing the head unit to gain access to the wiring. Quite a while since I did the upgrade, but I think that I put standard round speakers into the front and rear door to replace the paper coned ovals that are standard fit, possibly needed an adaptor to make them fit the aperture and a short adaptor lead to change the speaker wires from a plug to standard spade terminals. -

Performance restricted and DSc not available
Adrian Bevan replied to Adrian Bevan's topic in XK / XKR (X150) 2006 - 2014
Evening folks! A bit of an update to this post. I had my battery replaced and all was good for about a week or so, however on the way to my step daughter’s place on Fri the same DSc not available and restricted performance messages popped up accompanied by rough running! I pulled over turned her off for 10 mins or so and it was like nothing happened! The same thing happened on the way home today, no eml light and I can’t give you any stored codes as obd reader isn’t compatible with my car!! Does anyone have any ideas? many thanks, Ade. -
Hi everyone, I have the following codes showing in conjunction with the heater not blowing warm air. B1262 Defrost servo motor circuit failure B1263 Vent servo motor circuit fault B1239 Air flow blend door actuator circuit fault I’m familiar with a lot of threads about blend door actuators/stepper motors etc and I can see the actuators without pulling all the dash board out. Yes maybe there’s a tooth broken or an actuator has failed or a blend door is stuck. Before I hang upside down with the back of head resting on the brake pedal swearing profusely ….. What I’d like to know, if anyone has experience of these codes together, is, Is it certain that there’s a mechanical failure or could it be simply a broken or frayed wire somewhere ? If so how can I identify where ? Has a mechanical failure led to these circuit faults or is perhaps one circuit fault that explains the three codes ? Thanks for reading Paul

Jagroid seems the best option particularly if you want to keep all the original charm too. However you can replace the whole unit all together with an after market set up from China. I’ve used a supplier via AliExpress called EKIY to convert combined stereo and climate control units in three different modern classics. In each case I bought complete plug and play units that also replaced the heater controls and part of the dash. That gave me sat nav, Phone, AirPlay and Android touch screen controls, integrated reverse cameras and 6 Birds Eye cameras plus tyre pressure sensors via Bluetooth and of course WiFi and internet. One of them also connected to rear headset screens. The whole package in each car came to between £300 and £500. They asked me for photos first in the case of the Mitsubishi to make sure I got the precise set up connections. The Audi and Honda were simpler but I was surprised how good the communication was before and after purchase. It was only after buying my X Type Sovereign that I realised it had Jaguar voice control, sat nav and Bluetooth phone connection and that took all of about five minutes to configure. I love the originality, I’ve even bought CD’s again. Consequently I’m not going to change my set up. Much as I like gadgets (and they were a huge advantage when selling the cars) I never sat in the back, never watched a video or looked at a website while sat in my car and I still have a tyre pressure gauge in the glove box lol. I certainly never needed to see a continuous view of my car from above 😂 But “whatever floats your boat”. The buyers were in awe of it all.

Jaguar s type 18” BBS alloy wheels Pirelli tyres
N6 JMX replied to Nihal's topic in Jaguar Wheels / Tyres
You do know that you have posted these items for sale in a Jaguar General tab, which is a bit strange since there is a "Jaguar Marketplace" section further down the Forum. One more post in the General section and your post disappears from the headline view and I doubt anyone is going to look in a General tab for any items that might be for sale. Suggest you repost in the Marketplace section, where people would look. N6 JMX -
I put a new shifter box in The only way I can take the vehicle out of park is by hitting the silver button, I don’t know what it’s called but I have pictures for reference Refer to pic number 1 Then when I first took the console apart I realized that a sensor was unplugged which I believe could be the initial problem to why I can’t go into other gears without the silver button, is this supposed to hook up anywhere? Refer to pic number 2 I tried basic things like unplugging and plugging the battery, unplugging the dsc fuse and plugging it back in to maybe reset it after putting the new shifter in. All I know is I got back in my car and as I noticed the DSC system fault, ever since it wouldn’t let me shift gears. Any suggestions?
