  4. I have same problem with my X150 2006 XK 4.2 , I have been advised by the local Jag specialist that it is probably the oil cooler allowing the oil that is getting into the water through the cooler internally as the oil is at a much greater pressure than the water. There are no signs of water contamination on the dipstick and no overheating problems My problem is that it is no longer available and radiator repair specialists cannot repair this type of cooler ( type that fits between filter and housing), so I will have to search the breakers for a replacement. Anybody got any suggestions?

  10. ah supercharged, my next one, when i found one i want 😉 in white, looks well specced?
  11. i'll say x260, mainly due to x250 issues eliminated (i.e. cracked manifolds) as well as no rusty rear subframe (x260 is alu), when today, x250 is at very high risk of. go for xfs 3.0 v6 diesel (as you know already, 2.0d ingenium is very risky one to own), very reliable and great mpg for what it is. mapped mine to 350bhp/780nm's and i'm getting 50-53mpg on motorway cruise at motorwaty speeds. x260 xfs's are usualy very well specced as well, but need to watch out for thigs you want to have, as with x260 nearly everything came as option 🤨 so don't think it wil definitely have it, same as x250, when nearly everything was as std. good luck and keep us posted.

  15. On your car the GPS antenna and radio aerial are both in the spoiler.
  16. Hi Bobby, if your car does not have a retractable antenna, then it may have the "shark's fin" which would be on the rear of the boot lid, ahead of the spoiler, on the centreline - but that would be obvious. However, I am pretty sure that the 2008 model should have the retractable antenna on the driver's side rear quarter. Check behind the internal boot trim on the driver's side - it is relatively easily to pull back to reveal what cabling is hidden in the void space, there should also be the manual pull string release for the hood operation in that space. If the base cone for the antenna is not on the outside of the wing, then it would have to have been filled in and repainted, post a photo of the rear of your car, showing the boot lid, closed, and the 2 rear wings. 20. I have been chasing a problem in regards to the car I saved from being scrapped whereas it was discovered that no2 injector is doing nothing, After going through everything it turns out that the ECU seems to be the culprit, Now the thing is finding one of the exact part number is proving a pain mainly due to the two letters on the end of it, I believe those two letters are in regards to the software the car was born with, Also the first block of four digits seem to denote the year, mine starts with 4x43 so the first digit makes it a 2004, Anyhow as I look more into it even if I get one of the exact part number it would have to be coded in unless I cloned it from my old one, but with the problems my ECU has this may not be possible, Either way it all starts to get a bit too expensive, So my thought was to buy a used complete setup, (instrument cluster+ ECU's etc) from maybe a later year car in which case apart from the injectors having to be coded in, mileage incorrect & wrong VIN number (all of which would be issues anyway) what other problems would I face?.
  21. Have you tried the spare key? It sounds like an immobiliser problem to me, specifically the system is no longer recognising the key so the spare may well work. There may be other causes but give the spare key a try first.
  22. Hi, I broke the fixing of my rear load cover. This is the right one. I have searched for some hours now but only see the whole cover being sold. I will try a fixing of my own, using a proper plastic glue and a metal mesh, to try to make this more resistant to the screw loads. Plastic is too brittle for this fixing/bracket. However, just in case my fixing comes out poorly, has anyone seen these little objects on sale anywhere?
  23. Hi Thanks for the response, I could kick myself over the locking issue as I have a 2020 vw tiguan rliine with all the same features, just didn't think, the car is not fitted with a retractable aerial so I assume it's located elsewhere help on possible locations and any subsequent amplifiers or signal boosters would be helpful. I'll plug my phone into the glovebox USB and see what happens Thanks
  24. 2002 XKR with 25,000 miles. Car starts every time, but within 3 seconds the engine stops. Does not run rough. Just goes from smooth start to stop in 3 seconds. Will keep doing the same upon each start up.
