Without doubt AMG Trevor, never had any problems with them and performance was second to none

i second that, a merc for me , i had 4 of them one after another, fancied a change got a bmw (german rubbish) then a jag charlie

would go as far to say my next car will be a mercades s-class over the xj. charlie

Defo a Volvo or perhaps a BMW.

My last Volvo,( I have had  3), was 21 years old, 2.3ltr Turbo Intercooler, and it was magic. not a bit of rust anywhere. passed mot every year no bother. wouldn't really like a new one though.

stan, im like that with the mercs. had 4 one after another then fancied a change. so like you i can understand why you would go back. im fed up with cars at the moment and belive me it is a lottery what you get. the wifes 63plate insignia not a year old till the 31st dec, was in 3weeks ago for a new power stering pump and pipes eh. no kiking mate cars nowadays are crap the quality is not their, the new f type that jags turned out is teeriable go on to other forums its a bad car. charlie

I love my Jaguar S Type.

Following the principle of never buying anything till it has been fully tested, I got an s type at the end of its production run. It is a great car.

I bought a Rover Sterling 1999 plate at the very end of its production run, all the bells and whistles and kept it for eleven and a half years,

Peter.

peter, the rover sterling was better fitted out inside that the s type, charlie

Charlie,

The Rover had a few bits that were very good. The carpets were really lush, but the retaining clips were of poor design.  The adjustable seat supports on the front seats  were brilliant as was the instrumentation with a proper clock rather a digital display.

I did 122k miles with only a couple of minor problems with the K series V6.

Peter.

Ken,

Just bought a C63 AMG Edition 125 .

The Aston's were rubbish, but the Jags have been the only cars i've owned which I've had to call out the breakdown service for , three times in the last year.

Really liked the Jags, but Jaguar as a company leave a lot to be desired, hence the change .

ATB,

Trevor
