hi all, just purchased the jag and firstly would like to say ive just realised what ive been missing all those years :) , now the serious stuff, purchased this car knowing the sat nav wasnt working, sometimes loads sometimes doesnt, sometimes cuts out during journeys ;) , any help and or solutions would be very much appreciated as i believe in giving it every chance before replacement! ( and hopefully saving a heap of cash!!! )

Welcome to the Club, Chris.

The satnav problem sounds very like a poor connection.   Start the easy way, and look at the fuse.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Chris,

Welcome to the JoC. :)

As well as Peter's suggestion, I would have a close look at your DVD disk. Especially if it is a "non original". I have a spare OEM DVD disk which I use for fault diagnosis and you could borrow it if you begin to suspect the DVD.

thanks paul, thats very kind of you, will try a few more things first and see what happens, dont need the sat nav at the moment but its there so it should be working, i`m sure you know how that feels!

hi guys, just to let you know that a new disc has sorted the sat nav, many thanks for your suggestions, now have another problem, the cruise control isnt working, press the button but nothing happens, turn off traction and try it and the message comes up that its not available, so the car knows its there, ive been told it could be as simple as a small switch under the brake pedal? is this an easy replacement? or does it just need adjusting? yours chris.
