I think it might be safe to make this public now :D

When I first bought my S-Type, in March of last year, I was prone to leaving it parked outside the garage just so I could admire it

A neighbour came over and proceeded to tell me, with great conviction and authority, and in great detail, what a poor choice of car I'd made. I can't deny that I was on the point of inviting him to perform a certain degree of self-surgery when he left with a parting shot to the effect that I'd not last a week with the S-Type.

A week later, the dip-stick had gone and bought himself an S-Type

I always tell the 'armchair experts' that the great thing about these cars is that ownership is not compulsory , If you don't like them don't buy one. Sometimes "Methinks he protests too loudly ".  ;)

I have to know, has there been any comment since? Me thinks not!

I wanted an S Type since I saw a friend restoring a Mk1.  I couldn't afford a Mk2, and when the opportunity arose I bought one of the last S Type off the production line.

My neighbours are friends do seem somewhat jealous and I think my sisters regard me as adventurous.  My grandchildren love the car, as does my wife, and I wish I could have afforded one when I was younger.

Yes Steve,

Just before Christmas he said that I should look after the car (his is a wreck btw) having had the good taste to buy one.

I once asked him what colour the sun that his planet orbited was ;)
