I liked the idea of window tints to help with shading in hot weather, but did not like the permenancy or that they could scratch easily compared to glass. Did a search on the net and found Car Shades.com. Custom made window blinds that create the same effect as tints but allowing you to remove when not required. Ordered and delivered on a next day service for £74.00. excellent service and really easy to fit. I had a quote for tints at £150 so a no brainer, if your car is not listed, take it in as a doner car and get your shades for free !

andrew love the tint covers...but how do they stay up ? or how do you fit them? so that they dont fall off. also can you get one for the rear.  as you say good idea for when its sunny.

I think they are great because in the winter or bad light you can remove them .

Hi both,

very easy to fit and they are very secure and do not move at all, essentially, for the side windows, they sit within the door rubber moulding/seal recess and thus allows the window to operate as normal there are a couple of clips on the top frame section. For the rear window, they sit behind the roof lining and side moulding. I've attached a few more pics below to illustrate. I was a bit sceptical on the fit but be assured they are an excellent fit, they are constructed from a sprung type steel bar that is a perfect fit to the window frame with a reassuring "pop" into place.
