You can now start enjoying the Jaguar experience, Gary,

The s type is a great car, and I have thoroughly enjoyed mine.

Regards,

Peter.

Been giving it a clean.  Only real niggle is that I have a gurgling behind the dash.  Seller said he'd had a relay replaced and when I tried it and got it home there was nothing.  From what I can gather it's the A/C flaps behind the dash and not a big job.  Hopefully?

I was worried it would not meet my expectations as I really loved the ZT, but I needn't have been so.

Ahha...I am not alone!  I have that gurgling noise in my dash too!!  Sounds like you know how to solve the noise? Do you have to remove the dash to do it?

Sadly I don't.  Hope someone on here does know though.  On my Freelander it was simply a matter of bleeding the coolant.   An easy task which solved the problem.

I had that gurgling noise behind the dash, too and it is nothing to worry about.  It went of its own accord after I had had the car for about 6 months.  I was told that it would by a Technician.

Thanks for that Pete.  I'll let it run its course.

The gurgling is the flaps resetting and is nothing to worry about.

You can change them and it's not a hard job, just awkward as there up inside the dash.

you can help them by periodically spooling through the vent settings.

Hi Andy,

My car had not been used for quite a few months, and apparently usage got them going properly again.

Thanks chaps.

Had a lift in a diesel XF today.  Was impressed with how quite it was and the pull of a powerful diesel.  Less impressive was the interior.  Seemed less "Jaguar" to my limited experience.  Too shiney best sums it up.  Still nice though.

As I wasn't too sure on the last service decided to have one carried out today.  Had a phone call..........

Radiator is going to need replacing, badly corroded.  OK for now, but I'll get replaced somewhat sooner rather than later.  Now that failing suddenly would no doubt have been costly.  An unwanted expense, but better than the alternative.

Oh dear.
