Hi, I've a problem with one alloy, the value is leaking. On these alloys the values are different, metal value that has a cap on it. you need to put an adapter on to pump tyre up. Is a bit of a nightmare.

Anyway have had a puncture, and local guy couldn't fix it. a trip to local independent garage is next on the cards. However anyone got advice on this?

Hi

If you look on eBay for jaguar  bbs wheel valves and valve adapters

theres loads on there

basically the valve bolts inside the wheel, then there a cap to give it a flush look and protect it

to inflate it you remove the cap and screw in a adapter and inflate as normal

then remove the adapter and refit the cap

cheers

Joe

Mine have an adaptor as well. Pain in the backside at timed pressure pumps. Costs 4x more than normal by the time you've screwed the adaptor in your money has run out :wallbash:

Anyhow guess a decent tyre fitting place could help but would imagine the tyre would need to be removed. If it does ask them to mark the tyre and rim with chalk so the tyre can be put back in the same place it came off so you don't have to pay to have it re balanced.
