XType Boot

Hi, The boot on my X Type has become stiff to open and no longer springs up on release, any ideas would be welcome.

assuming its the same as the s-type, there a spring on each side

check them, I bet one has fell off or broken

 Hi-Wat-     Perhaps reading this will help because I think you will find they are not made to open fully after you press the button.?????

Mine doesn't open fully, it just pops up. But then it would seem that the degree of 'pop-up' might be temperature dependent so best investigated in the Summer.
