I have a 2009 X type estate and the rear wiper started going very slowly and then stopped half way along its travel.  Help please.

Sounds like it could be the motor seizing.

Happens quite a lot on other makes such as VW and Audi where the washer leaks into the motor.

Hi

Common problem, usually the shaft for the wiper, water seeps into the bush and causes it to corrode and go stiff, get some wd40 on it and when it frees off, put some Oil on it

Cheers

Now sorted rear wiper problem. Removed the arm then nut , then removed circlip, (managed to lose it on gravel drive), removed spindle from inside cleaned with fine emery, greased and put back with new circlip. Now works like new.
