Nice to meet you all!

Hi guys, I'm Ady, proud to be part of Jag members, coming from a stunning car (Honda Accord CL7 2008 model 2.0 MT petrol, then Accord CU2 2009 2.4 AT petrol), now on Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 Petrol Premium Luxury. I wanted this model for upgraded sound mostly (even if it's nice to know that I have heated steering wheel). It's an awesome car, dark blue with cream leather. Now, I have a couple of questions (easy one's I hope, I'll create it's personal topic to discuss there further about technical questions, projects, and so on):

- does it have just 1 12V power socket in the restarm? Or there's a second one as well (if so, where is it?)

- what's the cheapest way to update the navi unit (dvd navi, not HDD) - either some download links to latest working maps, or cheap way (I've read on google that there was some prices like 25-30£ for 2014 or 2015 maps) - I currently have 2008 I think, or 2010 (I forgot the DVD in the car)

- what type of lights does it have in order to replace them all with LED's? (on top, boot - if there's any, doors, etc)

- did any of you upgraded the headlights to facelift model? Any tutorial around here?

- does it support any remap? if so, does it worth it?

Apart that, I love the car, is awesome, how it feels, how it handles in traffic, luxury indeed.

I'm in B'ham, computer engineer btw ;).

Welcome to the club, Adrian.

I am not au fait with the XF, but I am sure that there will be some members who will assist.

The S type has two power sources so I am sure that the XF will have the same.   You can download an Owners manual, which is worth doing.

I am in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, but originally from Lancashire.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply.

Where's located the 2nd one?

Also, where can I download the manual from? I do have physical one though, I'll dig a bit more.

Hi Adrian,

.  Manuals to download are available for around £10 on several sites, although I have never bothered, as I have the Owners manual.

You won't need to down load of you have the one that comes with the car.

The S type has a power source in the centre armrest cubby, and also one on the centre console itselfI would assume that the XF has a similar layout.  I have no knowledge of the layout of the XF, but I think it is something similar.

Regards

Peter.
