I have a very treasured 2012 XF Premium Luxury. Today my indicator click sound STOPPED. All my indicators bulbs are still operable, all other bleeps and sounds seem to be working also around the car other than the indicators. Tried to read various forums from software resets, speaker issues but not sure where to turn rather than go to the DEALER!!!

Any suggestions welcomes.

I have a similar issue, indicators ok but no bleep.  Also no irritating noise when the seat belt isn't plugged in.

Indicator click on my 09 became distorted, then intermittent and then stopped altogether. The same speaker is used for the lights on and seat belt warnings so after couple of close shaves leaving the lights on all day It was time to do something. The speaker is integrated into the instrument cluster so you have to remove the cluster to get to it. There are other posts around on how to remove the cluster. Once you’ve done that it is easy enough to remove and replace the speaker if you have a soldering iron. The original is 8ohm , 0.3W so any miniature speaker with the same spec should suffice. I got one from radionics.co.uk for €5. Attached are pictures from when I did mine. The original is 35mm in diameter. It is glued into the enclosure so you have to prise  it out once you have desoldered the connections. As the replacement was only 29mm in diameter I prised the grille of the old one and glued it into the enclosure, then glued the new one to that and connected it with two wires.  The volume of the indicator click now is slightly less than the original but perfectly audible.
