Hi Phil

the top four buttons are for your CD (possibly your Radio?) the bottom two are for your hands free phone (if you have Jaguar voice) I will stand corrected of course by the guys on here who know a dam sight more than me!

Regards

Steve

Hi Peter,

Yes I have Bluetooth on my phone, but for the life of me I can't get the damn thing to work.

Thanks.

Go into your Bluetooth settings, make it visible, then select scan, if you have 'Jaguar voice' it should find it

Ah right,

Then it can't find "Jaguar Voice"....it will pick up my HP printer upstairs mind !!!

At a loss now.

I presume you had your ignition on? if you don't have jaguar voice, then there are different options out there. can I ask what is it your trying to achieve? just phone or music or both

Hi Steve.
Just wanted to use my phone hands free...ignition on
Phil

right, over to the professionals now. mine doesn't have jag voice either, but the previous owner very kindly left the parrot system (hands free) which works for both. hopefully you will get some feedback that can help?

sorry I cant help you any further (I did try though)

Keep us all uptodate

Good luck Phil

All S-Types from 2002 onwards had the phone buttons but not necessarily any phone capability.

It needs either the Motorola car phone mounted in the centre armrest (not the Startac used in the MK1 S-Type !) or the bluetooth module.

If you press the buttons (with the radio switched on) and the display says 'no phone', you don't have bluetooth.

The other giveaway is to see if there is a microphone mounted on the drivers side 'A' pillar, it looks like a minature computer mouse !

  • 1 month later...

I had a similar issue when I bought mine. My phone couldn't find the Jag bluetooth.

I got the software updated on the Jag, and bingo, all working well.
