what is the best diagnostic tool for the x type with in reasonable price , to read egr values , correct rear parking sensor faults etc

Hi Paul

There's loads out there, but most only give generic engine code, most wont communicates with all the modules

Icarsoft LRII works with most of the modules and some people used Icarsoft I930 but this one can give issues with reading engine codes

I use a Mongoose lead and Jaguar IDS/SDD software, with this you can do everthing jaguar can and used it with great success for fault finding and programing new modules

British Diagnostics do the Mongoose lead and software for around £100, LRII is around £140 and the I930 is around £100

cheers

Joe

Cheap £5 ebay ones seem ok. I use one that bluetooths to an app on my phone. Pointed me in the right direction when i had a abs fault.
