As the title say's I've been wanting an x type for ages and last week I finally got one, it's a 2.0ltr diesel 05 plate, can anybody tell me what the little button is for underneath the inside mirror, I've been reading through some of the post's regarding connecting my phone, even though I've even got the buttons on the steering wheel, I have the message No Phone, do I take it that I have no way of connecting my phone then, also regarding the radio, I have a cd player under the radio, what's that in the boot that looks like a multi disc changer, on the passenger's side, has anybody fitted an after market DAB Bluetooth radio in.  Thanks for taking time to read my post.

Mike

do you have satnav ?
the thing in the boot could be one of 2 things, if you have satnav it will be the satnav dvd module

if no satnav it will be a CDC ( cd changer ) that takes 6 discs via a cd cassette , there should be a button on the cd player in the dash marked CDC

Hi Mike, had the same trouble connecting my phone. I had to turn the blue tooth off then on again to search for the jaguar phone. Hope this helps.

For the button on the mirror. It could be for night driving. My one dims automatically when the headlights are on but yours could be manual operation.

The newest Sat/Nav Disc are for 2011/12 for the X Type and a few members just use Sat/Nav on there Phones or Tom/Tom , Garmin.

Thanks trooper, yeah I'm not too worried about the satnav side, it's more for the phone and possible going for a dab radio, maybe even dvd/tv player
