Hi Barry, and welcome to the club.

The sort answer is Yes.

Have you put your battery on charge while you car is off the road?  If not the battery has not got enough power.

The solution is quite simple, but a bit of a pain.

First you must have your radio code handy as you will need it.

Then you have to disconnect your battery - just the negative terminal - and then wait for about a minute or two and then reconnect the battery.

Start the engine.

The alarm will go off and you should press the button on your key fob.

The message should say Press Footbrake and handbrake  at the same time and then release both.

If the warning light goes off half the job is done. Let the engine idle.

Switch on the radio and put the code in.

You then will have to reset the clock, and then the volume.

You will have to reset each windows.  Just bring each window down wait two seconds [you will hear a quiet click] and then bring the window back up when the click comes you have got it done.  Each window gets the same treatment.

You should then charge your battery and do so every week when we are in lockdown.

Let me know how you get on.

Regards,

Peter.
